Analytical review of Ukrainian Stock Exchange activity in
October 2001
The exchange turn-over for October has increased in 4.6 times in compare to the previous
month. It is 2,3 million dollars and 498 thousand dollars pursuant. Such increasing is
connected with increase of activity on the secondary exchange market in which the bills of
the gas industry enterprises were sold. The exchange turn-over on the secondary exchange
market rose to 1,7 million dollars.
Increasing market Capitalization in October is connected with selling the shares of the
new enterprises in sector of a privatization, some of which were sold on the price higher
than their nominal value.
